Who needs a record company these days. There are so many ways to get your music out there for others to enjoy and listen to. Of course I think an important aspect of this is gaining feedback from others about what you are producing! I have been pleased to find some of my students turning to SoundCloud to do just this. Of course I had an interesting comment show up that I had to respond to about no one listening to the music that one of my students had posted to his SoundCloud.
Here are my comment to him…. (by the way…. the SoundCloud iPad app is lacking a few important capabilities – like being able to edit your profile and song information! Use a web browser to do this.)
